At the Millennium School, we recognize that parents can add a lot of value to the schooling of their children when engaged properly. We have developed a parent partnership programme that gives interested parents an opportunity to contribute to their child’s schooling. Parents can participate in school every day. They are always welcome at the school and are given plenty of opportunities to be involved with children during school hours.
  1. Those with exceptional talent in arts or sports are encouraged to participate as guest instructors to aid in the development of the extra-curricular skills of our students.
  2. Parents and grandparents may also be invited to participate in certain classroom activities, assemblies or projects that their children are involved in, in addition to the usual functions and performances.
  3. Career Days, when parents from different walks of life talk about their professional experiences, are conducted regularly to help students prepare for their own future.
There are regular school-parent interactions:
  • We hold a parent orientation programme at the start of every academic year.
  • There are regular parent-teacher meetings and open days at the end of each term when parents are invited to view their child’s work and discuss his/her progress.
  • There are walk-in times for primary school
  • Parents can make appointments with subject teachers at the senior level.
  • We conduct morning/evening/special assemblies periodically throughout the year that parents are welcome to attend and participate in .
  • There is regular communication through monthly newsletters, detailed circulars, updates in students’ school diaries and the school website.
  • Finally, the principal, academic coordinators, teachers, and staff are always available to discuss the progress or welfare of the children. (Just make sure to make an appointment before meeting them.)
